Journey and Advices of a CA student

Hey you all,

I know you people almost gave up on my writing. Believe me I did too. But these random thoughts needs to be fixed. That can happen only if I let it go or write it down. But the words which I let go come back and haunt me, disturbing my other thought process.

The subject I chose today is something I always wanted to write. For those of you who don't know, I am a Chartered Accountancy student. No, not those who are cool headed and enjoy life and exam, the other kind.Never had courage to write on this topic cause I don't have that prefix yet. But then I saw few other people like me. Some help is always great help for those who need. So decided to write it down.

After giving few attempts in my exam I went through lot of Google search, Contacted people, asked questions (to lot of people who don't even have idea), Irritated lot of my friends with anything and everything which comes to my mind. My brothers were fed up of my other business idea's I guess, but they never lost hopes on me. Quora was my new fond love where I can read the questions similar to my insecurities and get somewhat reasonable answers. I knew something was wrong but didn't know what.

Now when I see the whole journey till now like a third person I realised that exams were kind of trial and error for me. I saw people succeed in first attempt. I was very happy for them. But I saw people struggle for years, going to depression, giving up. The second category was more. I was scared which resulted in low self esteem. I had a lot of excuse. People who had faith in me were reducing. I entered a shell. Never opened up to any. Stopped other work. Sleep was my first choice. I used sit for hours holding a book not and moving a page. Tried to escape studies in every way possible. I even got a panic attack during the last exam cause I thought I will fail. For a brief period of time I thought I got depression. I almost gave up.

I guess I am still here just cause my parents and family who always believed I can( might also be because my astrologer believes so ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ). They pumped me by blaming everything else except me. My friends, who could talk to me in same tone even after one call a year, making me realise they will always be there for me.

Now having final exam ahead(also after few quora searches and talking to lot of other CAs and CA students) I realise only hard work can add prefix to your name (with a pinch of luck ofcourse). It also requires skills like mental stability, planning, patience, self confidence and most importantly focus.

My advices to you-

1. You should understand your strength and weakness to plan the resources properly. Laziness can cost you 6 month as CA exam happens twice in a year.

2. You should believe in yourself and shouldn't expect help from others. As Sudha Murthy says, you should become your own best friend. You are capable, thats why you are here.

3. You might feel like giving up but don't. It's just the struggle you are facing, Top view is something different.

4. Take breaks. You as a person is much more than CA related activity. Cultivate a habit and do that regularly. (Doing some other thing you like= happy mind= more effective study)

5. No one will feel bad if aren't receiving their call or comment on their photo while you studying.Keep your mobile in flight mode. You can do all those during break.

6. Don't go in a shell. Talk to people. That might console you or give you input for better result. But do it only when you are free. And don't let ANYONE send you negative vibes.

7. Don't get distracted while studying. Plan your studies in a practical way. Keep time for distraction as well.

8. Tune your mind daily saying it has lot of work to do in future. Mental health plays a major role in CA.

9. Do some exercise. Or else body will not listen to your routine.

10. Eat healthy. Health is also a reason for failure.

11. MOST IMPORTANT DONT COMPARE YOU TO ANYONE. Everyone is different. What might work for them might not work for you.

As friend of mine was telling, CA is a complete package where you will also learn LIFE LESSONS.

Lots of love,
Vaishnavi

MY teachers- back to memory lane๐Ÿ˜Š

It isn't now, from the time of Veda it is said that 'Acharya Devo Bhava' which basically says a teacher is equalent to GOD. The rank of Guru/ Teacher is right after our parents. Who is a teacher then? if a person teaches you even a single letter, he should be respected like a Teacher.
Indian history has lots of stories relating to the Teacher-student relationship.(Samartha Ramdas-Shivaji, chanakya-maurya,Ramakrishna paramahamsa- Vivekananda) Even Indian mythology has lot of stories relating to this holy relationship. (Ekalavya-drona, Vishwamitra-Ram&Lakshman,Valmiki-Lav&Kush)
The present day which we celebrate is because of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a great scholar himself. Everyone loved him so much that they wanted to celebrate his birthday. This great man denied and said the same day can be celebrated as teacher's day.
I have a very special bond with the teachers day. Being in a family which had teachers from last 3 generation I get to see the amount of respect they have earned everywhere. It is truly a proud feeling I tell you. From childhood I understood one thing whatever you do in life the people you would remember the most are the teachers who gave you life lessons, who heard you patiently and also who genuinly cared for you.
I take this moment to thank each of the precious teachers of my life. My paternal grandfather, teacher himself taught to be punctual, respect people and condemn the wrong even when the another person is more strong than you are(it takes lot of courage). My paternal granny who taught me to enjoy the nature right from my childhood, all the Ramayana Mahabharata stories with morale she would tell me every single night. My maternal grandfather, a great businessman and a very hardworking man taught me value of each penny. My maternal granny who is also a teacher developed me as a writer. She used to teach me English and literature in the short time we visited her. My mom, also a teacher taught me a lot of stuff. The most important one was to control emotions and love your family no matter what. My dad, who taught me to read even when I dint go to school. He used to bring me books when I was 2 and till now he dint stop. He also taught me to stay on my words. All my uncle and aunts, other grand parents from both maternal and paternal side who gives me the live example of 'ham saath saath he'.All my cousins and friends who teach me unconditional love exists.
My primary teachers-pushpa teacher ,harada teacher, PT teacher who deleveloped my questioning mind. Who would answer patiently to ALL my doubts. Muralidhar Sir, who made me love MATHS.
My highschool techers- Games Sir, Ramakrishna sir, Ramachandra Sir, Manya, Shriman who taught us beauty of language. Narayan Sir,  who would teach all subject with ease. My tutors for maths who used to teach maths without taking a penny. Veena teacher who taught us science. Dennis sir who used to love me like his own daughter and also used to modulate his voice to keep us away from sleep.

My pu teachers- Geetha mam, Chanchala mam, Anjana mam,Jyoti mam, Saraswati mam, Geetha mam,Shridevi mam,Ashwini mam,Sindhu mam, Pooja mam, Pratiksha mam, Muralidhar Sir.

My degree teachers- Karla sir, who would get the shit out of you if you dint score full marks in internals. Anil Sir, who would say talk how much ever you want to but the voice shouldn't go out of the class. Maiyya Sir, a very sweet person by nature. Vasumati mam, who would summarise whole childhood of yours by mythological stories. Mamatha madam, who would genuinely answer the doubts and give us atleast 5mins of extra time to speak. Shridhar Sir, whom noone can beat in terms of knowledge. Supriya mam, Keerthi mam, Sandhya mam, Vasanta mam, Shrinivas sir(famously known as Vajramuni), Manjunath Sir, Luv Raj Sir. Kusuma mam, who never taught me but she was the best principal. Suchith Sir, with whom I always used to chitchat.

My Professional Course teachers-
Santosh Sir- who used to teach wrong part first and make us understand it's wrong before teaching right part. Shilpa mam- who always emphasized the value of basic. Kiran Sir, a best person I know. Madhukar Sir,Umesh sir and Abhijith sir who used to teach law.

My Principal, staff
My other teachers-
Satyacharan sir(master mam)- who taught me classical music, bharatanatyam teacher and her sister who taught us Carnatic music and Bhatanatyam, Dinesh Bappa who taught harmonium Tejaswi, Prakshith and Keertan Anna for photography and Arjun Bhat for blogging lessons.

GOPI SIR, the best teacher and person out there. Whom I adore and can't describe in words.

Chitra Mam, my beloved teacher who always taught on real Time basis and lessons required in life.

ANIL Kumar Nayak- My first teacher who taught me lot of things and also if I won't add his name he will feel bad.(Just kidding 😛)

Happy teacher's Day to each of the teacher who taught me. Thank you all.

P.s- I could not write all the name but I have respect for each one of the people who taught me.

Friendship day

Whatsup there?...
When a YEAR later I ask this question you should answer right?😂 I know it was about me! I won't say I was occupied or something ,(though I was😅)cause if I had tried I would have wrote. It basically says I am lazy😢.

But once a while even a lazy person writes. Today I am getting so many wishes even from the people I am not in touch with. So how about writing friendship day? The concept of friendship 'day' originated from western countries. Wikipedia gives so many confusing staments from which I am unable to draw a conclusion on who has started this celebration, but one thing is clear that the official declaration of world friendship day is proposed on 30th July 1958 by World Friendship Crusade . In 2011 General Assembly of United Nations officially declared 30th July as World Friendship day. Different countries follow different dates as friendship day. We Indians celebrate on first Sunday of August. People say it's purpose was to recognise true friendship and differentiate it from Valentine's day. People celebrate it by exchanging gifts, greeting cards and ofcourse wishes.

The concept of friendship day arrived to wish a great strength of one's life, *friends*. We keep our friends in different circle. Very few enter in that close circle. And those close circled friends are called best buddies😋(Those are same idiots who will make sure they won't wish you on friendship day. ^en huccha NING wish madakke^{have I gone mad to wish you}kind of people.) They play important role in your life. 40% of you are because of them. I like the quote of Russian revolutionary Communist Vladimir Lenin which says' Show me who your friends are and I will tell you what you are'. Which is basically true because your thinking is partially derived from people you are surrounded with. Choosing your friend is very very very important. It is like making connection in splitsvilla(a reality show where making right connection will help you to win the show), a right one will help you always.

Coming to me, I always had my friends on my side. In my good, happiest, sad or worse days, they were always there. To fill confidence, to criticize, to make me happy,  to help me know my limitations and strengths. Today everyone is busy, the contact is minimal. But when they meet I can feel the same strong bond.(they still tease me in the same manner😂).

Sharing gifts on friendship day is not something I believe in(Are! I can gift them anytime. Why only friendship day?). But liked the idea of one of my high school classmate. She told me that she gifts are not purchased one. She gives the thing which she used before. Like a crafted diary of which only 2 pages are used. Or a pen which is liked by another friend of her. Even her friends do the same.(she told me this long back. I don't know if they still follow it😊)

Friendship day is indeed a great day for those misunderstanding to end, for new starts, for love and for old good memories. It is a day to say each other that they are greatful to have a friend who is always there. It is a day to remember those sweet hearts who always wanted best to us. It is a day where one can pause the busy schedule, remember the days well spent and smile a little. It is a day to pay tribute those selfless beautiful souls. Cause friend is the only one who knows What you exactly are.(Even your mom wouldn't know all your secrets😂)

What more I can say? Happy friendship day😊

P.s- All those who dint wish me! It's OK. Let's celebrate it every day😉 ek din to bahut kam hoga hame😋

A small preach๐Ÿ˜Š

Roaring hearts
Blind eyes
Winded ears
-On one hand
Joyful souls
Smiling faces
Loving people
-On the other
This year indeed was great for me. Ups and downs, heights and lows, smiles and cries. I don't wanna highlight the ONLY happy or ONLY sad part. They were equal this year. Not EXACTLY equal. But yeah! Almost they were. Did you learn any lesson? I did. Lot of it. If I summarize the whole years details- there are people who love you AS YOU ARE, get along with them. There are people who don't like you, stay away from them. Negativity enters your head before positivity. Don't be upset. They are part of your Head. It's up to you to listen them.
P.s. There is one more person in the world whom you forget every now and then. YOU. Enjoy your own company sometimes. Take your care. Believe me it feels great🙂
"AND" I wrote it. I took that picture. Never ever dare to ask from where I copied.
Will be back soon.
Loads of love and happy new year

#11 My people

Hi there,

What's up? Long time,no see😜 yeah yeah. I know I am the one who disappear every now and then. You know? People used to ask me ages ago if I dint write anything for more than a month. Now no one will ask. Cause even they got used to my procrastinating behavior. Wait! Am I using proper word here? It's procrastination or I am being truant? You should tell me that. As far as I know, I just have few readers and all of them know me personally(if my prediction is not true, you are free to comment on my comment box, I will definitely retort back). So you can give me the feedbacks in WhatsApp,facebook or when we meet. I would love to get feedbacks even if it is negative. They help me to improve, analyse and helps to occupy most of my time in thinking(free from bugs💃hihi)

Actually, I thought I would do some chit chats with you people today. Yeah, I would have told you about my nature. But as soon as my sister and brother read it, they will immediately start calling it as self obsession for LIFE TIME. In order to avoid such risk I decided to blog on whatever comes to my mind(I know I have highly fluctuating mind)👻

If you people read my  earlier blogs you might know that I was perusing my degree. Now I am done with it. Yes. I am a Bcom graduate now😎(There was a joke in fb- as I have got degree now, thermometer isn't the only degree without brain😂). Lot of things changed after that. People who were inseparable part of my life got separated for higher education or for job. Yet some of them are in touch. I have also moved to Bangalore for my articleship( part of Charted Accountantancy course popularly known as CA). I stay at my aunt's place and fight with my cousins after my office😋

I was also offered a transfer to my home town but I rejected. I love my work also my seniors who are more like old pals. That reminds me of one of my seniors in particular about whom I MUST write. His name is KBH. He always put me to think how sweet a human being can be. His will power, determination, Dept of knowledge, thirst to learn, his motivational speeches and care towards others always memorise me. I always love to spend time with him so that I can fight with him and sleep peacefully😝(I never slept without fighting with him)

Oh! In the name of chit chat I described my favorite person from BANGALORE (if I won't stress that word, some people will kill me when I go back to my native👻)

My Anna says whenever I blog I normally have message to tell in that. This time I would love to suggest a video which contains the same message I wanna tell in this blog. It's a short movie of 27 odd mins which I loved the most. Here is the link-
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CmK91AxPA1A
And people who can't open the link please don't scold me. I have minimum knowledge on these things. Rather you can search as JAYANAGARA 4TH BLOCK short movie.

On that note I am signing off🗨

Will be back soon🏃

Sparrow kingdom

Hi reader,
My best friend sent me a story just now which I loved a lot and felt worth sharing. Hopefully you like it:-)

There was tiny multi talented, too kind and sweet sparrow living happily in her kingdom. She had her own story from which she trapped under love blindly. She badly wanted to stand up in life answer all her sorrows. She had dream to build a nest by her own. She planned well. She did her foundation too. She even took engineer coaching for latter construction. But Later new birds entered her kingdom. Meantime she was in need of a best friend with whom she could share everything. Fortunately she found too. Now new birds entered created chaos, she was badly hurt when many new birds pointed her behavior. But that poor soul accepted every hurt still went behind friendship. When she couldn't resist the pain she went to nearby lake and cried secretly. When a parrot tried to get close to that sparrow, she had decided that she is not going to allow anyone to fill her friend's place and all attempts of parrot went futile. Sparrow did everything possible to keep her friends happy. She had realms of pain, sufferings even if she acts she didn't. Now important thing is all this reflected in her dream to build nest. She was trying but not with peace of mind. She didn't had great support, and that mood and zeal. Every other thing declined her. Thing hurt me was from Every attempt she didn't grow but declined. She forgot to think about her happiness while she did for others. Amidst all this she forgot her dream is nest. If u ask me about that sparrow she is capable to do nest in her individual capacity. She is afraid of constraints , forthcoming. I wish sparrow would understand her self needs and deeds. Because while you expect others to be happy there might be someone who wish for your happiness.

I think,by now, parrot is a great friend of sparrow and sparrow is understanding things:-)7 P.S- This story is written by my friend Ramganesh.

#9 And this is what happened

Hi all,
It has been a long time since I wrote anything. Few months actually! All the friends of mine(must mention 'the non readers' too!!) asked me why my blogs are not coming up. Laziness is a correct word which defines me I guess. Anyway I'm sorry for not writing. I'll try to keep writing.
Law class always fascinates us. It might be because the boring subject or might be because of patience of sir who 'tolerate' us almost 1 hour a day.

This is a story about sir and my best friends. Ok straight away to the story.

I was late to class today. Couldn't attend 2 classes because of lack of information. So when I came my friends were there in canteen. I went there and they told me what happened in last 2 class after knowing why I couldn't attend. Then one of my friend remembered something and started laughing. When I asked the reason she pointed towards another to tell me the reason. Conversation went on-
Me: what happened?
Friend: we are having free food.
Me: how?o_O
Friend:  You remember we were given a work of sealing some coupons.
Me: yes. Those were free meal coupons if I'm not wrong.
Friend: yes. We asked a sheet of it with law sir:-P with a authority that we helped him.
Another friend: Infact she was shouting(with food in her mouth)
Me: he gave?
Friend: No. He scolded us initially. And told us to get out from department.
Me:*silently listening*
Friend: It was lunch time. After coming out we realised Atleast 2 coupons would do. So we walked in again and started asking again.
Me: He gave?
Friend: He pretended like he won't give. Then we pretended sad started walking out. Then he called us.
Me: I can guess rest of the things. How shameless you are. You people will get stomach ache today.
Another friend: we knew you would tel this. If you were there you would have pulled us out of department telling you would give us treat today. Thank god you were not there.
Friend: See girl. It's not about you have money or not. It's just to experience the free food once and irritate sir. If we won't do such things, how can we expect sir to remember us. Chill
Then I was speechless. By the way, this sir is our law sir and I wrote Half of the blog while sitting in law class.
Now you can guess why law classes are fascinating:-P
