no title

He was an orphan when he came to our house. Barely 3weeks old when someone left him on road. Big stomach with four sticks attached! No-one who saw him would say he would survive. He was taken to vet and they gave him medication. He took few weeks to get back to be normal. He reminded us of our previous cats.

His trouble dint stop there. We already had a female cat who dint like him at all since day one. We tried to keep them together but she would hit him with the long nails she had. Everyday he used to be in blood and he tried to hide from the other cat until we separated them. Then in few days we observed a few wound with puss on his head! That was the time when pet cats around us were dying due to brain fever! We were scared and took him to vet again. There he told us that's because he doesn't clean in those. He was may be 4month old. Always inside the house where the other cat doesn't like him. Where could he learn? We got earbuds to clean his puss and put medication. He was good in few days. It took few months for the female cat to get along and him.

Next month both the cats got worms inside their stomach. And the medication for that was a tablet. We had to put water to that tablet and make them drink. Half of the medication would go on the floor because of the hustle! They were finally fine.

Next was the era of childbirth. Female cat would roam around this cat but he was too small to understand. Finally she got her mate and gave birth in the morning. He was there to comfort her. When we opened the door we saw 3 cats. Kitten being unharmed. Female cat took the kitten to safer place for 2 weeks. Once she was back the kitten could walk and opened its eyes. He accepted that kitten as its own. He would take that out, protect it, caught food for it and so much more. We used to laugh about it saying that he thinks he is kitten's mother. I saw from my eyes that he did everything for that kitten that even the kitten's mother wouldn't do. That was not something common for male cat.

After few months he grew and had kitten with the same female cat. She delivered kitten two days back where both he and his adopted kitten sat and saw. We had to drag them both from the place of birth.

That kitten was kept in my room with the mother cat. Today afternoon he came in to take a nap which he does when he can't sleep somewhere else. I was worried he would hurt the kitten but I held him and showed him. Mother cat wasn't around this time. He saw the new kitten. It moved for a moment and he made a sound that he makes when he see food to be caught. I held him thinking he'll jump now and catch it. He paused for a moment and he backed out and went near door. The new kitten was same as his colour. He knew he was the father.Again. Not a common behaviour for a male cat.

He wasn't like any other cats we saw. He was around always mainly because he loved his food- Whiskas. He would run straight home when he saw dogs. He loved fried items and he only eat rice when no-one would see. Wherever he is, he would come back home for the sound of cat food in box.

After he saw his child, he probably went out where he was caught between a bully male cat and a monster dog. He tried to escape from bully cat but couldn't escape from monster dog. The same dog eyeing to catch him since forever. My family tried to get rid of the dog but by that time fog broke something. When I came my brother gave cat from his trembling hand and told me to take him to vet. We kept running and talking to riksha people. One took us to the vet 1km away, who was closed. He needed water badly. We went back home. Gave him some water to drink and again ran to another hospital with my granny. I don't remember how many times I scolded her on the way.I was taking my fear of loosing cat over her. Throughout the way of 7kms,I was begging my cat not to close eyes. During the journey I saw him moving his head to bite something, he said meow. I got hopes. Vet was close. I ran into the nursing home near by, begging doctor to take a look at my cat and do something. He was helpless. So was I! I din't know what to do. I came running back. By this time my cat is in enormous amount of pain. I could see him. In this time he peed all over. Nurses kept on scolding me for not wearing mask. And he bite me real hard. My cat who never once bitten anyone even when kids would torture him. I started crying. Not because of the pain  but because it was coming to my senses that I might loose him.

My granny told may be we can take him home and give him some homemade stuff to reduce his pain. She was giving me false hope. We tried to contact the village vet who delivers calf and knows few things about being vet. Network wasn't enough. He couldn't hear us. I saw my cat taking his last breath. Whole journey I was pumping his heart. Wasn't enough. He died. In my hands. But he fought for really long time. Just like his throughout life.

I came and went directly to our garden. My brother who had exam finished it and joined me started digging hole for burying the body. We both are crying. My granny told the body should be kept on ground but I couldn't. I loved him very much. So did my brother. We burried him and part of our soul and kept stones on his grave.

His name was gundu munnu and he dint close his eyes even when he was dead.

I'm attaching his photo, his kitten's photo. I thought writing this will help me reduce my pain. It surely dint
